Abandoned Observatory Feels

When I heard about the Warner and Swasey Observatory, I knew that I had to have a fashion shoot there. I mean an abandoned observatory just sounds likes a cool place to visit, let alone take some street-style photos. So my models and I headed to Cleveland's east side to adventure the property. When we got there, we realized it was a little creepy. There are multiple rooms wafting with the scent of spray paint and you could probably sweep the place a hundred times and it would still be dirty. But despite the dirt, dust, and smells, it was super authentic and a great location to take fashion-related pictures.

It was the first shoot where I have photographed a couple and the models were pretty new to it as well. We had a great time figuring out what worked and what didn't work. The lighting was good and the graffiti-filled interior and exterior of the building made for a one-of-a-kind backdrop. I want to explore more unique places to shoot. If anyone knows of any in the Cleveland-area, let me know!
